As a Christian Union we really encourage all Christians at university to get involved with a church. We desire that for the four (or maybe more) years that you are in Edinburgh you would find a church that can provide support and encouragement alongside helping you to grow spiritually during this part of your life. Finding a church that meets your needs in a city like Edinburgh can be a challenge as the range of different churches available to try is huge however hopefully the following resources will help:

• To get started there is a list of churches and their websites hosted here on the Christian Union website.
  
  
• Alternatively you could look at a guide to some of Edinburgh's churches published by Origin Scotland available here which gives more specific details (Although beware as this is last years guide so some details are out of date!).
  
  
• If you are starting university next year then the Christian Union runs an event call church search during the first few weeks of semester one. At church search people from a wide selection of churches will be present and you will have the opportunity to ask them about their church and go along with them to see what it is like.

We are amazingly blessed to have so many fantastic churches in Edinburgh which is great but this can make it hard trying to find one. To avoid spending a whole year trying out different ones and getting a bit lost along the way, we recommend that you work out a short list of churches you would like to try and then make a choice when you have visited all the churches on your list.
